Sunvibe designed and installed a residential solar PV system for Stephen Sopher in Severn, Ontario, using 15 Trina 390W solar modules on the property's existing metal roof. The 5.85 kW DC system was paired with a 6 kW Fronius Primo inverter and SolarEdge P505 power optimizers, creating a compact, high-performance rooftop system designed around the property's available space and energy requirements.

Project Overview

The Severn project was designed around a 5.85 kW DC solar array consisting of 15 Trina 390W solar modules.

Sunvibe paired the array with a Fronius Primo 6.0-1 inverter rated at 6 kW and incorporated SolarEdge P505 power optimizers into the system design.

Based on the project design, the system was estimated to generate approximately 8,393 kWh of electricity annually.

The result was a residential solar solution that combined efficient module utilization, inverter capacity and module-level optimization within a carefully coordinated rooftop installation.

The Challenge

The project required an efficient solar design that could maximize generation from the available residential roof area.

Key challenges included:

  • Designing around an existing metal roofing system

  • Establishing a secure, weather-conscious mounting approach

  • Optimizing the available roof area for 15 modules

  • Maintaining a clean, professional installation while preserving the roof system
