Residential Solar
Vaillancourt Residential Solar NEM
Residential rooftop solar installation on a garage, helping a Brantford homeowner generate renewable electricity and participate in Ontario's net-metering system.
Project Summary
Sunvibe designed and coordinated a 7.92 kW rooftop solar PV system for a residential property in Brantford, Ontario, using 22 LONGi 360W solar modules paired with a SolarEdge inverter and module-level power optimization.
Project Overview
The Brantford project was developed to turn an available residential roof area into a productive solar generation asset while working within the property's existing electrical and structural conditions.
The engineering design specified 22 LONGi Solar LR4-60HPB-360M modules, producing a 7.92 kW DC system paired with a SolarEdge SE7600H-US inverter rated at 7.60 kW AC.
The system also incorporated 22 SolarEdge P401 power optimizers, allowing the individual modules to operate as part of an optimized rooftop PV system.
The Challenge
A residential solar installation must be designed around the building—not simply around the desired system size.
Key considerations included:
Making effective use of the available roof area.
Coordinating the solar array with existing roof conditions.
Designing appropriate module attachment and layout.
Integrating the PV system with the home's existing electrical service.
Completing the engineering documentation required for the project.
Coordinating the system for utility connection and installation.
The Solution
SunVibe's project design incorporated:
22 × LONGi Solar LR4-60HPB-360M 360W modules.
7.92 kW DC system capacity.
SolarEdge SE7600H-US 7.60 kW AC inverter.
22 SolarEdge P401 power optimizers.
Roof-mounted solar PV system.
Detailed roof plan and module layout.
Electrical line diagram and system calculations.
Equipment specifications and installation documentation.
The project demonstrates SunVibe's approach to residential solar: combining system design, technical coordination and project management to create a solution tailored to the property.

Client Testimonial
In February 2023 we decided to do our part for the environment and install 24 solar panels on the roof of our garage. We looked around and got quotes and we decided to work with Sunvibe Solar. We had very good service, Sacha was knowledgable and available to explain the process as we did not know what we were getting ourselves into. We had a few hiccups, one panel got damaged during delivery, but at the recommendation of Sacha we had taken the delivery insurance and we received a replacement panel in no time. The delays we encountered were from the permit process, our Town adopted Cloudpermit and all communications had to be via that online portal, it was not very efficient at their end but we were able to get the permit after some revisions of the engineer plans. Over all we are very happy with our project and we are now collecting credits for our electricity. I would encourage you to call Sunvibe Solar if you are thinking of installing solar panels on your home or garage.
