Sunvibe designed and installed a high-capacity 14.88 kW residential solar PV system for Pierre Harnois in Hawkesbury, Ontario. The project combines 31 Q CELLS 480W solar modules with an 11.4 kW SolarEdge inverter and SolarEdge P505 power optimizers, delivering a customized solar solution for a property with substantial electricity demand.

Project Overview

Pierre's project required a significantly larger residential solar installation than a typical rooftop system.

Sunvibe developed a 14.88 kW DC array using 31 Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO XL-G10.2 480W modules. The system was paired with a SolarEdge SE11400H-US inverter rated at 11.4 kW AC and SolarEdge P505 power optimizers.

The system was designed to maximize the property's available solar generation potential while providing a substantial offset to its ongoing electricity consumption.

The project was also modeled to produce approximately 20,756 kWh of electricity annually, with estimated annual electricity bill savings of approximately $3,425 based on the original project design.

The Challenge

A system of this scale requires considerably more planning than a standard residential solar installation.
